# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Nutritious and Filling: Pearl barley provides a satisfying, nutty texture and is packed with fiber.
  • Bursting with Freshness: A trio of fresh herbs—parsley, mint, and dill—creates a bright, aromatic flavor profile.
  • Simple Preparation: With straightforward steps and a quick whisked dressing, it is ideal for any skill level.
  • Make-Ahead Friendly: The salad holds up well in the refrigerator, making it great for meal prep.
02 -
  • Rinse the Barley: Rinsing the grain before cooking removes excess starch and helps the individual grains stay distinct in the salad.
  • Use Fresh Herbs: While dried herbs have their place, the success of this salad relies on the vibrant, punchy flavors of fresh parsley, mint, and dill.
  • Whisk Thoroughly: Ensure your dressing is fully emulsified (blended) before pouring to get a consistent flavor in every bite.
